Bruno Varano’s distinguished and decorated career as a criminal investigator led him to supervise numerous squads of Special Agents who conducted complex criminal investigations and provided Secretarial Dignitary protection for members of the President of the United States Cabinet, including international protective assignments around the world. His senior executive assignments included many sensitive assignments working with the FBI, the United States Secret Service, and the Department of States Diplomatic Security Service.

Bruno was selected and participated in elite senior-level executive training with other federal law enforcement agencies throughout the course of his career.

Bruno Varano attended William Paterson College, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration. 

Bruno is also fluent in several languages including Italian and Spanish.

Bruno’s early community involvement extended beyond his military service with the United States Army and academic pursuits. 

He is active in law enforcement defensive tactics and obtained an advanced level in the martial art of Judo. 

Bruno Varano began his distinguished law enforcement career in public service as a Special Agent with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Inspector General (HHS/OIG). Over the years, his responsibilities span New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. He was promoted to Assistant Inspector General for Investigations, later renamed Assistant Special Agent in Charge, a position he held with distinction until his retirement.

Bruno’s commitment to public service extended into the corporate industry, as well as current leadership roles as President of the New Jersey State PBA # 121 Federal Agents.

As president of the Federal Agents PBA Local #121, Bruno spearheaded a series of charitable initiatives, raising over $150,000 for causes such as the Battered Women of Morris County, the Special Olympics, Wounded Warriors, and various hospitals and rehabilitation programs. Under his leadership, the PBA also established an annual scholarship fund for high school seniors, which has grown to award multiple scholarships each year.
