Sam Beaver’s distinguished career in law enforcement, security, and emergency response is a testament to his unwavering commitment to service, leadership, and safety. Sam’s journey began in New Jersey, where he pursued studies in Criminal Justice at Brookdale Community College. He later attended the Correction Officer Training Academy in Skillman, NJ, earning his Police Training Commission (P.T.C.) Certification. These foundational experiences laid the groundwork for what would become a lifelong dedication to public safety.

In 1993, Sam joined the State of New Jersey Department of Corrections, where he quickly rose through the ranks to become a Correctional Police Major. In this role, he provided strategic leadership for the state’s largest law enforcement department, overseeing 5,000 sworn officers. Acting as a liaison between Central Office Administration and multiple correctional facilities, he ensured compliance with policies, procedures, and state laws. His tenure included developing and implementing a Security Audit Program tailored to the state’s 12 correctional facilities and their satellite units, conducting inspections of county jails and municipal detention centers, and spearheading operational improvements in security, staffing, and emergency preparedness.

Sam’s expertise extended beyond traditional law enforcement responsibilities. He worked closely with the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management (NJOEM) to coordinate, schedule, and implement mandatory National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) training for uniformed officers and supervisors. His leadership in emergency preparedness was instrumental in crisis response exercises for natural and man-made disasters, including hurricanes and chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) threats. He also played a key role in investigating and evaluating critical incidents, ensuring swift and effective resolution in accordance with departmental policy.

Following his retirement in 2018, Sam transitioned into the private sector as a Security and Medical Response Operative with Michael Stapleton Associates (MSA) Security. In this role, he continues to apply his extensive expertise by providing executive protection, patrolling client spaces, and conducting preventative maintenance for access control stations and Main Data Frames. Additionally, he assists in planning and executing emergency drills, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols, and overseeing building security service providers. His ability to respond swiftly to building emergencies, including providing emergency medical assistance, underscores his continued dedication to protecting lives and assets.

Sam’s professional credentials include an impressive array of certifications, further reinforcing his broad skill set. He holds certifications in Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Internal Affairs Investigations, and Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response. Additionally, he is a certified instructor with the Police Training Commission (P.T.C.) in multiple disciplines, including firearms, physical training, defensive tactics, and baton training. His qualifications also extend to specialized roles, including Federal Air Marshal Service Armed Security Officer and Special Operations Group (S.O.G.) member.
